Hi, I'm Chris, a travel loving 17 year old who hopes to have a career within the tourism/languages area. I am currently in my final year of school studying Geography, French and Sports Studies, hoping to begin university in October 2008 studying Tourism and French.
I take a special interest in European Geography, my knowledge outside of Europe is very sketchy to say the least. Scandinavia and the Baltic States are of the greatest interest to me. It's hard to describe what I like about these countries so much - but the languages, cultures and landscapes are all fascinating. The same goes for the Balkan Region, of which I have only visited Slovenia, and will do so again in June 2008 as part of my European Tour by rail. Hopefully I will make a day trip to Zagreb in Croatia, too.

In May 2007, I spent 3 days in Sweden, taking a train north to the border with Finland. Purely so I could stand at the border post with one foot in Sweden and one foot in Finland! Well, not really, it was so that I could visit an incredible region on a budget, that I have never had the chance to visit before.
