Botanic garden is in center of city, just one bus station from the House of Commons, and just 5 minutes from Skadarlija- street of boems.
You can find there every plant that you imagine. Also there is China Garden. Besides that you will see sometimes some art performance, exibition or concert. There are so many beautiful places in Belgrade to visit- please skip visiting this ugly ZOO. But if You by any chance find your self in side this facility- if and when You notice that animals in this zoo look very sick or in a bad shape- please contact your embassy and state your… BELGRADE ZOO- |

Belgrade had been a good city to visit. There were definitely highlights to be seen. But there were some weaknesses too. But that could be said of nearly every city around the world. Overall, I was glad to have visited the Serbian capital, but it wouldn’t be somewhere I’d be in a rush… Belgrade, Serbia - Balkan Sights! |

…from the fortress are impressive and one can easily spend a whole day wandering through the various layers of the fortification, visiting the grave of one of the Turkish Pasha’s, visiting the military museum and just relaxing at one of the many cafés within Kalemegdan’s walls. In between eating we drove out of the central city into a gray and rainy Serbian day to visit Marshall Josip Broz Tito. Marshall Tito led the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia from 1945 until his death in 1980. Currently Marshall Tito resides in a mausoleum called the Kuća Cveća (The House of Flowers). …people, interact, stay in hostels or find contacts and stay at people's homes if possible, go to the national cuisine restaurants and visit markets, stadiums, theaters etc, try and really feel the pulse of the country you are visiting. Some places can really surprise you, you can find the most friendly people in the countries you heard nothing but bad things about. So brake that chain of prejudice… Travel as a way of life |
