Train tickets

You must be sure to have lots of coins when you are going to by train tickets in Amsterdam. The ticket machines aksept a few creditcards, and you can be sure of that it isn`t your kind. To by tickets in ticketoffice is not a good eksperience, the ticket sellers seems to be unhappy to be disturbed and you can NOT call them serviceminded. One of them tould me that I shoud have a dutch creditcard when travelling i Netherland!!!!!!!??????? I thought The Netherlands was a part of EU. Shame on the ticketsellers, give them a smiling course for free every six mounts atleast. But the conductors was full of sunshine and very helpfull.

Hotel Excelsior is located in a cosy quarter close to the World Forum Convention Center, the OPCW and the I.C.T.Y. Perfect accesible by public transport. Madurodam, Omniversum and community museum at walking distance. The hotel is situated in a beautifull mansion, build around 1900 with al the comfort you need. The hotel is cosy furnsihed.

The hotel was redecorated 2 years ago and the owner must have layed his soul in the decoration. My room was delicat coloured in pink and off white and I want you to know that I hate pink....... My mail friends room was decorated in blue and off white. When I saw their room I understood why I had to climb to 3rd floor and my friends to the 2nd. When we booked Hotel Excelsior the owner placed us in the room he thought was suitable for each one of us, I love the feeling that he wanted us to have the room that he thought would suite us best. All rooms had beautiful crystal and the one in the breakfast room was fantastic.

All the comfortable luxurious rooms are forsee with private shower and toilet, radio, colour television and telephone. In the hotel rules a pleasant atmosphere and in the morning you can enjoy a well served breakfast. It is the perfect hotel.

If you are driving you have parking place (free, in front of the hotel). Family of hotel guests can also enjoy the breakfast on request.
