Mui Ne - Tom and Jerry?

I hopped off the bus at Mui Ne as most people seems to head further north to busier places. I thought it would be cool to stop of here to check out the random sand dunes I had heard about. I checked into a room some 10 metres from the beach for six dollars a night, the room was ok apart from about 20 mosquitos flying around.

I decided to stay nearby for dinner and ate at the guest house I was staying. Whilst I was eating I watched in interest as many of the family (who owned the guest house) gathered around the TV to watch "Tom and Jerry". They were laughing out loud and generally loving the recycled jokes and themes of the dated cartoon. When I say the family was watching it, I don't mean children but all of them were grown adults. It was intriguing to see such enthusiasm for something most adults in the UK would probably flick past whilst channel surfing.
