Lazy Day In The Hutongs

I spent some of the day wandering around the Hutongs south of Tianiman Sqaure visiting shops and having lunch from one of the many stalls on the way back. I decided to take it easy today as my tour was due to begin on the 23rd, so I opted for watching "40year old virgin" on dvd in the hostel. I was pretty surprised as it was actually a very funny film. I was just settling in at Leo 2 Hostel and meeting lots of interesting people, it felt a bit of a shame to be leaving.

That evening two American girls from my 12 bed dorm suggested heading to their favorite restaurant. I had already eaten but opted for a few beers which turning into quite a few. Later on an American couple joined us for a few drinks and all of a sudden I was greatly out numbered with impressions of Mary Poppins and fake English accenst flying around. I had a good time despite the english ribbing and I finally got to bed at about 2 o'clock.
