Hong Kong - End of Tour

After a long train journey of 17 hours we finally made it to Hong Kong. Immediately you could tell the massive difference between mainland China and Hong Kong just by looking at the modern trains. In Hong Kong people like to shop and everyone seems to be chasing the latest fashion items and labels. On one street alone there are about 20 shops just selling trainers and they all seem to sell the same items.

We checked into the West Hotel near Jordan Street in Kowloon. It was very nice and a real shame I couldn't afford to stay another night instead having to opt for a cheap guest house the size of a shoe box.

We spent the early part of the day wandering around Kowloon shopping. It was very hot and humid as the girls spotted the sign for the "ladies market" the boys decided to go elsewhere with the threat of impending boredom looming.

In the evening we sat outside to eat some amazing seafood near Temple Street Market in Kowloon, it was really good, pretty spicy and also pricey. This was the last night of the Roam China tour so most people took the opportunity to take lots of photos.
