Day 4 - part 1
July 6, 2007
Having a late start in the morning, we drove through the park onto our way to San Jose. Along the way, near Gilroy, a fruit stand gathered abundance of lively fruits and only the Red Bing Cherries were organic. Of course, being that it is local and a farmer’s stand, one should expect the produce to be sold at a cheap price and here is a proof of that: $7 for nearly 4 lbs!! Let that mouth water!
Driving through Gilroy, hoping to see some festivities of their garlic lifestyle, it was a contentment to see their quaint little city. Gilroy is known for the garlic crop and Garlic Festival which is usually held annually during the full last weekend of July.
