Wanna play Jump-Over-The-International Border with us? Take the Waterton Lake Cruise on Upper Waterton Lake to cross International Boundary into Goat Hunt, MT! Yeah, it is one of the very exciting moments to appreciate! This is the world's first international Peace Park, established in 1932, and now celebrating 75 th anniversary. This park was a beacon to the current number of 138 Peace Parks worldwide! This Peace Park's once open border crossing, where people from all nations could travel between countries with minimal scrutiny until 9/11 occurred, was suddenly closed. Eventually, they began to allow only United States and Canada citizens, however if you wish to hike in MT, you must have proof of two identificatons. Also, at the Waterton National Park, Prince of Wales Hotel situated on a hilltop, above the lake, was the site of a proposal to join two national parks of Canada and United States is now known as Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park. This is an inspiring way to celebrate the friendship and cooperation between these two nations.
