We finally hit the road toward Portland, OR!! A stop at Whole Foods and Wild Oats was a breeze! It was sweet for it was located across the street from one another! How often to you come across two natural health food stores sitting across the street, facing one another? RARE!

Checking out Food Fight, there was not much to offer. It is kind of hip place to have a quick browsing moment... Raving for some morsels, Proper Eats was our next stop. It was very cozy, laid-back, and comfortable. Take a moment to shop, drink, snack and/or dine. It is a vegan eatery and to BS's lil mouth, it was a joy, a moment of enlightenment, to have her tongue dance on those homemade, local tortilla (gluten-free) chips! Alynn sipped on homemade kombucha and blasting green drink (grapefruit juice mixed with spirulina and agave).

Realizing the time, we head off to meet a friends of ours. It turned out that every turn we take, it was the opposite direction from where we intended to go to. Almost every road we wanted to turn on to was one-way road or detoured in another direction. After over an hour, our hands were thrown in the air and surrendered to the maze of Portland. To wind down from the craziness of the maze, John Franko, Pista, Hari Krishan and her boyfriend agreed to meet us at Blossoming Lotus, an organic and vegan restaurant, instead of their places or wherever they wanted us to meet them. BS left with Franko and spent the night with his family. Alynn hanged out with Pista and Hari Krishan at Hari's place, slowly slumbering off for the night.
