The famous Banaue Rice Terraces are found in the northern highlands of Luzon, North of the Philippines. The rice terraces are known as "stairways to heaven", and dubbed by the locals as "the 8th wonder of the world".

Go or No Go

I hope this trip would pushed through. Since I am leaving the Philippines in 20 days, I would want to see much of the country before I go - and Banaue is part of my list. :)

We still have no bus tickets for tonight's trip. My friend checked with Florida Bus and their trip is already full.

He called Autobus this morning and they said, they have few vacancies. We reserved our slots and hopefully they are available still by the time we go there.

I already called Denwil (our driver from my previous trip to Batad with my sister) and I gave three places that we are interested of going - Bangaan, Hapao and Hungduan. Three clusters of rice terraces that are included in UNESCO lists plus he is giving free trip around Banaue.

Hopefully, we'll manage to get our tickets and be on our ride to Banaue tonight.
