Taking the train from Providence- Rhode Island
Hello everyone, I would like to share with others travelers about my last trip that I made to New York City for New Year’s. First of all since when I was in high school I always had a dream about visit New York City. My first time I was there in September of 2001, 2 days before the stupid terrorist attack on America at the World Trade Center Towers and I will never forget! I’ve been New York City few times and I love this city for many reasons. My last trip to NYC was amazing; this time I took train for the first time from Providence- Rhode Island to Penn station- NYC by Amtrak and cost me 86 dollars roundtrip; the trip was very comfortable and I surprised about the cafeteria inside the train so I bought some snack food because I was hungry and also they offer beverage alcohol, so of course I grabbed a beer to start my trip.
the married proposal in the wall of street in NYC
When I got in New York City at the Penny Station was crazy and much crowed, but was not bad for me then I took another train on my way to my friend’s house, lucky me that I had a place to stay! Later afternoon me and my friends went a bar called “Amsterdam Ale house” located at 76th with Amsterdam Avenue, the place is small but very charming and I had the best fried calamari in NYC, was yummy! After the bar I went to a Broadway show were I saw the radio city Christmas spectacular "the rockettes", was amazing show and everyone must see it! In the next day I walked around in the NYC Chelsea and East Village, both areas was very nice neighborhood and friendly. At the East Village I saw a funny proposal picture in the wall and I thought was very cute I was impressed by his level of organization.
I love NYC especially on Christmas and New Year’s season; the whole city was decorated for Christmas and Times Square was ready for a New Years. Day 3 in NYC was great day I went to the gym in the morning then I had a lunch at Indian place next to Central Park sorry I can’t remember the place name, and I had an awesome salad; After lunch Me and my friends went to the intrepid sea, air and space museum; make sure be there during the day before get dark (winter in NYC get dark around 4pm) the museum was huge place and is a dynamic, interactive and educational journey for all ages. The museum’s mission is to honor our heroes, educate the public and inspire our youth. was very nice! Next to the Museum we had dinner at Hallo Berlin and there I tried some dutch beer, I easly got drank lol! The place It is a very informal, casual restaurant with picnic tables.
The food was delicious, the German beer was excellent, and there was no pressure to hurry up and get out. We sat there talking and laughing for quite awhile after we finished and the staff was wonderful. I highly recommend going here for a relaxing, enjoyable time and was so much fun! On New Year’s Eve I went to the Central were I saw great fireworks and there was lot of people Kicked off a fun and healthy New Year with friends and family at a four-mile race through Central Park. I only recommend who really like to run. Also we had a live show, beside the cold brrrrr I was very comfortable and I had a blast time, hope you guys like it, Happy New Year’s everyone! :)
