The Happiest Place on Earth
So 14 hours after taking off from Sydney we landed in LAX and took a SuperShuttle down to LAX. Kath commented that she was glad we weren't driving, this guy was a freak - 100 mile / hour down the freeway and he wasn't going the quickest! To get me through, I fell asleep :) What else could I do ;-)
So we have been in Anaheim for 2 days now, settled into the Crowne Plaza nicely, the guy at the front desk was a champ, hooked us up with a room straight away (7:30am) which meant we could go, shower and sleep before Katie and Shimone came in (about 11ish). Shame I didnt wake up when she repeatedly texted :)
So we have found out a few things - in no particular order:
1. You can't convert currency here unless you have a bank account
2. It's hot and humid
3. To survive the humidity, you stay in the pool, this was Thursday taken care of
Today (Friday) we went to Disneyland, and spent the entire day there, was a pretty fun day all-in-all. Lots of laughs, some great rides (Indiana Jones ride is awesome!) and an amazing amount of walking, which turns out is a good thing due to the amount of crap that I have started eating here - I should start a tally because I am grossing myself out with what I am consuming....
Tomorrow will be more of the same, this time going over to California Adventure Park, hopefully some time by the pool and maybe a nice dinner with Katie and Shimone before they head back to Seattle. Will upload some pics once I work out how.
