Day 2 of the Disney experience.....

So we went to Disney California Adventure Park today, and I must say the crowds were less, the rides were still fun - 'California Screamin' anyone? but these pesky rides still insist on breaking down, what's the go? Yesterday it was Space Mountain, today it was Mulholland Madness, thankfully we weren't the ones stuck up the top of the incline though. A good 5 minutes later, we were able to continue on the ride.

So we had the day to ourselves, Katie and Shimone decided to spend the day lounging by the pool, and we hooked up for some dinner and drinks later in the day, more on that later. Average queue time, or should I say 'line up' for the Americans out there that dont use the word queue in standard conversation :) was 5 minutes today.

AAAAAHHHHHH my hand, my hand!
Awesome! We went on to any ride that we wanted, I must admit though that rides that rely in gravity for a decline (Tower of Terror) and spin on the spot (Teacups) were off the list, leaving Grizzly River Run, Soarin, Muppets 3D et al and they were all a lot of fun.

High School Musical, now I'm not ashamed to say I watched the show (movie?) and they had a Pep Rally on at the park, was fun to watch. Lots of dancing, singing etc In the afternoon there was another parade on and this time it was made up of the Pixar characters, Monsters Inc, Incredibles, Bugs Life etc, high energy and a great show.

At the end of the day, we caught up with Katie and Shimone for dinner at Ralph Brennans Jazz Kitchen, great food, great company, great background music. As Katie had finished 1/4 of her alcoholic drink and was already slurring her words, we decided to end it there and head home; shopping tomorrow... maybe a new suitcase is on the cards.

Kath has enjoyed the start of the trip, loved Disneyland and had a great time in the park today. We're already starting to think about New York and maybe heading down to Washington DC for a day, go through the museums, The Whitehouse etc; I think that will be a great way to spend a day!

Great photos guys - we love the photo of Mike hehe. The rides sound like loads of fun and we can't wait to hear about your adventures in New York and Washington if you get down there. Stay safe xx
