Our trip to the iguazu falls started well when we caught the full cama bus from Buenos Aires for our 20hr ride. We had heard that argentinian buses were great, and they really were!! we were served hot food (i ordered vego, much to the dissatisfaction of the argentinians) champagne, wine and whisky (we both didnt go there) etc and saw movies in English while realxing in supersize chairs. They are soo big that there was only room for three seats across the bus (compared to the usual 4).

So we arrived in Puerto Iguazu (the argentinan town near the falls) very well slept and keen to get thebrazilian side of the falls out of the way that afternoon.

Iguazu falls wow! (from the braxil side here)
We ran into a guy AC went to uni with and his friend and we decided to all head across in a tazi together. Apparently the brazilian side wa less spectacular than the argentinian so we would only need half a day there, and we were on a schedule as we had a date in florinopolis with some other aussies for the world cup game against brazil.

We spent the entire next day on the argentinian side after our half day on the brazil side. Along with the falls (the pictures tell it all) there is plenty of wildlife in the park. We had an interesting encounter with a possum like animal (a coite) when he stole a guys packed lunch from out of his pocket. the next day on the arg side there were signs everywhere saying don´t eat in front of these animals as they will steal your lunch!! perhaps they dont believe this is likely in brazil? saw alo some cool monkeys but no jaguars unfortunately (im serious they do have them here).

At one stage we strayed off the track as reccommended by a few fellow travellers.. and managed to find about 30 vultures, got some close up shots of the ugly beasts but didnt go past them.

There was plenty of tourists around though, so we were pretty glad to get away from all that. And plenty of ways to help them spend there money.. we did take a boat ride where they got us drenched under the falls.. which was great but only just worht the 45 argentian pesos we paid as it only lasted 12 mins.

We managed to visit the park on the only day all argentinians were at home, Argentina were playing in thh world cup... they had the game on the loudspeaker on the train though, and of course they won 6-0 so those that were around started massive celebrations.

In Puerto iguazu AC enjoyed a massive steak with our two aussie buddies Joe and Sash whipped up on the bbq at our hostel. They managed to eat 2kg of steak between the three of them.. i enjoyed a salad.
