The trip was great, traveling through jungle with amazing views of canyons and waterfalls and some pretty impressive bridges, best to have a look at the photos.
After the trip we got off the train and pulled out our map of paranagua, as usual saying ´no thankyou´to all those who tried to offer us accommodion. It turns out they were probably trying to tell us that we were not actually in Paranagua but a town 1hr from there, inland. If we had better Portugese we would have found out earlier that the train only goes all the way on a Saturday. Anyway we eventually arrived at Parangua in the early afternoon. This is the jumping off point for Ilha do Mel which is supposed to be lovely, but we let it slide for other islands further north, and we had to keep moving up to Parati.. for the Aistralia vs
