I am raised in LA. my home sweet home. I have west side pride. I visit once a month. I get homesick. This is gonna be my travel blog every time i visit LA. I love LA, my home. *ALWAYS UNDER CONSTRUCTION*
I think i am gonna bias about this review. i love this coffee house, not only i managed it while i was in college. i am good friends with the owner. if you are ever in town. ask for jay and tell him i told you to have coffee or tea there.

try their cafe borgia(mocha). it is made from mexican sweet chocolate. it tastes so unique. their hot chocolate is the best. hee hee i know where jay's gets it too. have it with a pastry. they get their pastries from a local bakery every morning. on a cold day, try the chocolate cappuccino smoothie topped with homemade whip cream made with milk, espresso, ice, and special chocolate all blended. or a ice blended vanilla chai smoothie. you can choose either water or milk blended. sometimes people add a shot of espresso in it to give it a little kick. just like any coffee house. you can have soy, non diary, non fat, or regular. when i was working there. i would make chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon flavored whipped cream. when i was in the mood :)

barclays is known for it's service and products as well. for a coffee house jay has a largest collection of high grade cappuccino/espresso machines. when i worked there not only i learned how to be a barista. i had to learn the retail side as well.

barclays also had unique coffees and loose teas. i still buy my green tea from jay. there is a flavored coffee called the "winter goddess" blend. i invented that blend and named it after me :)

it has been around since 1973. even before dunkin donunts, starbucks. peets, coffee bean and tea leaf. there are still loyal customers still buys coffee and tea from jay. i know cuz, when i visit i would run into some of them. if you want to come in and work or hang out at barclays. they have free WI-FI.
