My cousin, john, his girlfriend, Ashley, mum and me, drove
It was a 45min drive going south. it was smooth drive. There was no traffic. We drove to Marcus' house to pick up the bowl. He lives 2 blocks from the beach. It was a block from the saw dust festival like he said. We arrived and yes it was right off laguna canyon. The bowl is gorgeous as you can see. An one hour process to be like that, we can see all the colors in the light. Mum just needs to buy a stand for it. She is going to place it next to the window where the sun sets.
marcus was the one who recommend this restaurant. he said one of the girls that work for him is a waitress there. We ate at sapphire Laguna. We hung out there for 2 hours. it was a beautiful weather. The sun was out. i love the ocean breeze. there was an art gallery that had a handful of his glasswork. we went inside before we ate.
Afterwards, we walked to brooks st beach. The was waking distance to the beach. i love it. When you go to a beach community, you see the surfers running down the street carrying their surfboard, wearing their wet suit, and bare footed. we walked down the steps to the beach. it was high tide. The waves to about 3 feet high, there was a handful of surfers in the late afternoon.
i wanted to go walk around for a bit. i did not want to stay out in the sun to long. i did not want to tan. We around down south coast hwy. many restaurants, surf shops, art galleries, and retail shops.
We walked past the b&b that my mum's stay when she goes every year to the pageant of the masters. Which is in a prime location, you are near everything.
It was about 4pm, we drove back to LA. There was a bit of traffic, it was not too bad for a Sunday. It was a good to have lunch and walk on the beach. Gosh I miss living LA.
