Nice/Cannes
The whole thing started friday, may 18. I knew that U2 was going to participate at the U23D(a U2 concert in 3D) premiere in Cannes. Then I heard a rumour that they was going to perform as well! So just for fun i checked out if there where any cheap tickets to Nice the next day, and there was! I found one that didn't cost more then about 950 norwegian krones(about 120-130$) that left saturday afternoon, and I would be in Nice by 8.30 PM(U2 was playing around midnight). But I still had to find a ticket back home, so I continued my search, and(believe it or not) the only departure back to Norway that sunday(the day after) that had seats left went to Trondheim(where I lived). And they weren't to expensive, only 1300 norwegian krones(180-190$). So after talking with some friends and some nervous thoughts, I ordered the tickets!
