The University arranged to have an attorney come speak to us. As interesting as he was, it was extremely hard to hold an attention span after sitting in one class for 4 hours. But we did. His knowledge of Texas didn't extend further than King of the Hill but he was still a funny guy, mostly because he made the reference at all. =) He did take us to the headquarters of the organization he's in (sorry I'm being so vague, I can't remember a thing), and I fell in love with the library. There were books. EVERYWHERE. And anyone who knows me knows I have a long-standing love affair with books.
The following day we took a private tour around the Scottish Parliament, one of the most controversial buildings in Edinburgh.
And I finally did the thing I'd been wanting to do since I decided to come to Scotland- I saw the Penguin Parade at the Edinburgh Zoo. And it was worth the wait. Seeing penguins march in semi-formation is kind of a warped flashback to my drill team days, only they were a lot cuter. =D The day only got sweeter when I redeemed a coupon for a free penguin animal and it happened to be the cutest thing ever.
