This was THE DAY to try to organize our trip to Bariloche. There are several options available:

·        Rent a car

·        Bus

·        Route 40 –organised bus tour

·        Plane

After discovering that our original option, taking the bus, would take 36 hours we decided to check out the other options. Soon we realized that this was less of planning our trip as planning our escape. After 4hours walking up and down the main road (500m long), trying several agencies, searching in the internet and discussing with Alejandro we found that:

·        Rent a car: costs £500, mainly due to £300 dropping off charge.

·        Route 40  tours : are closed since the 15th April.

·        Plane: no ticket available until 15th May, even via Buenos Aires.

So the decision of the day was to take a 36 hour bus ride. Anyway, tomorrow will be the Upsala glacier boat cruise and hike. Should be good.
