Time for R & R!

We slept in Wednesday morning. After four intense days of science, we'd earned it! We took a cab (two, actually) to Puerto Juarez for the passenger ferry to Isla Mujeres. Our first taxi had a problem - the driver couldn't go faster than 20 mph! When the driver found out how far we wanted to go, he pulled over and flagged us a different cab. We made it to Puerto Juarez without too much delay and got on the ferry at 1:30 pm. The trip to Mujeres was great. The breeze made it very pleasant, and the water was so blue. In certain places, you can tell that there are rocks or sea grasses, because the water is so clear! Amazing start to an amazing vacation!
