The Ups and Downs of Santorini
Our last day on Santorini and we decided to take a glass bottom boat, over the underwater volcano. Our boat left from the old port; to get there we had to climb down from Fira. They have donkeys that carry people up and down the steps, but we deiced to walk. It took us forever to walk down the 986 steps as we struggle to dodge the donkey dung. In hindsight that was not a good idea, since there was cable car that would taken us down. The boat made a few stops, the first one was to a dormant volcano, and again we had to climb a mountain. Second was a stop was a 25 minute swim in the thermal springs to get there we had to swim thru 50 meters of frigid water, even though we had our bathing suits, we decided that it wasn’t worth it.
