The not so blue Danube with modern buildings in the background

We started our second day in Vienna by taking a city bus tour with a stop at one of the Hapsburg palaces, these palaces are starting to blur together, a lot of gaudy art work and gold leaf walls.  However the gardens were incredible beautifully.  In the afternoon we took another tour out on the Vienna woods, we really enjoyed the scenery rolling hills and vineyards.  The tour ended with a ride on a river boat on the Danube (it did not look blue at all) Vienna seems like a very sterile city nice buildings but very little color everything is a shade of beige and we don’t sense much atmosphere.    We been on the road for over 30 days now, and are loving this adventure, but we do miss some things from home.  With out saying our family and friends (You Know who you are) Television, the only English TV we get here is CNN you can only watch so much of that.  Reading the newspaper, we haven’t seen an English paper since London. Our home and pool, it would be nice to live in a place with a refrigerator and more then one room. Believe it or not driving a car neither one of us has driven a car since we started this.   Darcy misses the gym and Barney’s coffee Lou is very happy with the coffee here and feels that he is getting enough exercise.
