Darcy makes a new friend

Yesterday we did not do much it was nice to get some rest.  We walked around by the beach, didn’t wear bathing suits, but tested the water.  We might chance it if we have time.  A lot of the shops were closed, since it was Sunday.  There was some kind of road rally on the beach; it was pretty crowded, but very orderly, this a very nice laid back town.  We had to get back and do our laundry.  We have a washing machine in our unit, but no dryer, just a drying rack with clothespins (I did not know they still made them).  It is nice to do our own wash and not have pay a hotel to do it.

Today we took a fifteen minute train ride to the Tarragona train station to purchase our train tickets for the rest of our travel’s in Spain and Portugal.  Can you imagine that we have not rented a car this whole time, public transportation in Europe is great, too bad the USA can’t compete.  Tarragona seems like a nice city, we walked around a bit before coming back to Salou, we plan to return to Tarragona later this week for a closer look, and some pictures. 

This is the first time we have relaxed in a while and it feels pretty good.  Tomorrow is 30 days before we come home.  It is hard to believe we have been gone 70 days.
