Wow! What a day, we started out this morning by climbing up to the Acropolis, twice. The first time we went up thru this maze of narrow winding streets past little white washed houses once we got to the top we realized that we could not get access that way so we climbed back down and went up the right way. Quite a hike but worth it.   What an amazing building pictures don’t do it justice and just think its over 2,500 years old, they don’t build them like this any more.  Lou was in his glory he has wanted to see this place since he was 10 years old.  After that we hiked back down and visited the ruins of Zeus’s temple not much left of it but it must been something in its day.  We stopped for lunch at a nice sidewalk café, and raced back to a laundry mat by our hotel to pick up the clothe before they closed for the week end, made with 10 minutes to spare.   Then we took a streetcar to go see the harbor, the ride took for ever but we made in time to see the sun set.  Tomorrow is another full day.  Athens is a huge sprawling city with so much to see.
