Back on Land

We woke up to the movement of our ship going sideways. Finally after 5 sea days finally we set foot on land and it felt good. We haven’t has access to the internet since we been out at sea so first thing we did was to find an internet café, to catch up on Email and bring our blog up to date. We did a bit of walking around the town; Pointe a Pitre is not very touristy so we soaked up the local culture. There are many open air markets; each market sells the same stuff, the spices, fish, flowers, fruit and vegetables, you smell some of these markets before you even get to them. People seem friendly, it was a nice visit but after a day we are ready to move on.
