I woke up this morning late, about 8:30 AM and decided it was time to get up. I guess I needed some extra sleep. Went and had a full breakfast in the lobby (eggs to order, potatoes, bacon, toast, fruit) then headed out to the Harley Shop. I arrived about 9:30 and Victor, the Harley rental manager, was there waiting for me. We had a nice Ultra Classic waiting for me, black, lots of chrome, stereo, etc. NICE!! Interesting thing is that they were not sending me out alone; Victor was going with me as my tour guide, how nice! Actually, quite a relief…. Now I didn’t have to worry about directions or getting lost. The day was nice… low upper 70’s, completely sunny sky. Something interesting I noticed is that there are no ½ helmets in S.
Well, Sammy (Shawn’s friend and member of S.F.J) called me and invited me to the meeting. He gave me directions and I was off. The meeting was being held in Sammy’s home and many members showed up. We had some great food and fellowship, then watched a DVD on relationships by Ron Bell… It was awesome! We then prayed for the S.F.J. team and other prayer requests. Then Shawn showed up and gave me a present. He presented me with a 2007 Soldiers for Jesus South Africa National Rally Pin. This pin is only for S.F.J. members but he wanted me to have one as a special remembrance of this trip. Then after everyone had left it was just myself, Shawn and Sammy, talking around the tables sharing stories, prayers, testimonies, etc. What a wonderful evening. I was with them for over 4 hours and I was made welcome and part of the family. Shawn said that they are saving their money now to attend the S.O.J. rally in 2008 being held in Colorado. We have established a new friendship and want to maintain it. I look forward to the sharing over the years to come.
