Was standing outside of the Eurolines ticket office in Wien (or Vienna for you English people) going to Praha (or Prague for you english people).. Really, English is fucking up alot of these local names. But anyway, came in contact with this guy from England and he knew a local guy so we have been walking around for the entire day. Its like getting a free guided tour in every city.. Its not to shabby :)

Praha is overrated and touristed, but also nice. Just cant see what all the fuss is about, Vienna has nicer buildings and was far less touristed , Tallinn has much better town walls and defence towers. So Prague is way overrated and not so nice as people say it is.

Sorry to hear you didn't like Prague that much.
Maybe you should come back and see the "real" Prague - it's just beautiful (only touristy places are overpriced and the fuss about the castle has to do with the fact that it is one of the largest castles, you should cross Charles Bridge at night, listen to the "Bridge Band" during the day, see all the golden rooftops when the sun sets in fall, have roasted duck with dumplings, sit in Coffee Heaven at Na Prikope and watch people, have rohliky for breakfast, get a ticket for the National Theatre (for 30 CZK = 1 Euro) and just take a look inside... gosh, I can't believe you left Prague without all that :D!

I don´t think it´s fair to compare Vienna to Prague because they are such different cities in history and architecture and culture. When I was in Budapest I saw some nice sights but much evidence of ugly soviet style architecture too. That was many years ago so maybe it´s different now. I still disagree about Prague though. The center was full of beautiful buildings are details when I was there. And I imagine there are more western style cafes, restaurants and shops now. Oh well, we can agree to disagree, it´s subjective!

Prague is a nice city, the castle which everyone brag about its just some buildings with a cathedral in the middle. Its overpriced for just to go through some buildings if you want to walk inside some of the museums and such. The city is also a beautiful city, but its not even close to Vienna , Budapest or Tallinn. And i did get an extensive tour by a local. But Im going back, Hope Im wrong about this city
