Impressions of this Eurotrip
August 7, 2007
Well.. You always have alot of impressions after such a "long" trip. Each city is beautifull in each way, but i was surprised about most cities. Here is a short summary:
Tallinn: Nice oldtown, many old defencetowers and a very good preserved Town Wall. New Town got quite a god nightlife , so does oldtown, but its more expensive.
Did i tell that i was so drunk here that i knocked over a streetsign so i blocked one of the lanes, and then slept in a room with ATMs?
Riga: Everybody is talking about the oldtown of Riga, but its not worth the hype. The thing to do here is to party hard. The oldtown is nice, and we shot with AK47. Sleep at Friendly Franks!
Vilnius: Was here last year so we spent only 2days here. Worth going to, but its just becomming to nice to really be a "eastern european capital".
Warsaw: Warsaw was a city. Didnt really like the oldtown , new town or anything. Its just annother big city. The Castle and the monument are great for pictures
Krakow. Now we are talking! The jazz-capital of Europe with live bands everywhere. Auczhwitz is amazing , the saltmine is really good. The nightlife is jazz and after sitting once you are to drunk to relax to jazz, go to the nightclub
The rest will come.
But Highlights:
Consentrationcamps in Krakow. Aushwitz and Birkenau is truly an amazing sight. Nobody in our group said anything for over one hour beacause it so much to take in.
Drinking in Vienna: A local guy gave me a tour of the city and later to a bar with his friends. We headed of to a "10euro-All-you-can-drink" bar and used some shit. Was drunken driving and got pulled over by the police. Even after a 2000euro fine and after losing his drivers licence for one year (or so) the locals continued to party! That is how its done
