Alcudia, in Majorca, or Mallorca as it is also known, has some of the best beach areas I have seen anywhere. You can wade out into the sea, fish swim all around you, and even far out you are not more than thigh deep, great for children. Calla D' Or had lots of little coves, and little private beaches. Magaluf and Palma Nova are lively places, lots of nightlife for those with the energy to stay up late, very late.
Ibiza is a stunning island, Playa Den Bossa was our base, not far from Ibiza Town and its beautiful castle. From here you could see far and wide, and although it wasn't an easy climb to the top, it was worth the exertion, even in the searing heat. When we were there building work was in progress transforming the prom into a very pleasant walking enviroment.
Back on the mainland we have visited Costa Brava (Palamos), Costa Blanca (Benidorm), and the Costa Del Sol (Torremolinos) we also visited Marbella with its harbour full of millionaires yachts, and went on down to Gibralta. Each has its own charm, so something for everyone to seek and find.
