day 2 (Moominworld)
August 1, 2006
Second day of our trip was one of the most relaxing ones as we decided to visit Moominworld. We travelled from Turku to Naantali by steamboat Ukkopekka. As far as I remember it's one of the few steamboats that really is in working order nowadays. On our way back with the same steamboat we had a dinner over there (really delicious!) and we were shown the engine room as well. So if you kindly ask the staff will show you the ship with pleasure =)
As for Moominworld I think I was lucky that I visited it at so old age like 19 :D I mean I think if I would have been younger, something like a little kid, then I would have been dead for the end of the day because all this exploring and everything was pretty tiring. But for me, for a big moomin fan, it was a really nice day! And I'm sure even if I would have been younger I would have ejoyed it even more. Maybe the only thing that started to annoy me a bit were the high prices of souveniers. Probably they aren't expensive for everyone but I really started to think if that little memory thing is worth the money...
After a long day at Moominworld we had a little walk at Turku again and then went home to sauna (yep, we had a sauna at our place) and then to sleep because the next day was going to be a tough one again.

Really great place to visit for everyone, doesn't matter how old you are but of course it's really enjoyable for kids.
What I would whine about were the high prices of souveniers but I guess it depends on person what's expensive for him/her. Maybe it's just me who's a bit too frugal.
And I truely reccomend you to go to Naantali by steamboat Ukkopekka!
