We went to Granada to meet a friend of ours who was studiyng there for several years already. Maria met us in the center, gave us a quick tour around the modern part of the city and found us a place to stay. She told us about everything that was going on there. By that time we missed company of people so we decided to stay there for a couple of days.
The place she found for us was situated in Sacromonte. We were so lucky we could stay there. Sacromonte is a range of cave dwellings, apartments close to Albaicin look like regular flats inside with showers, toilets and electricity. Outside they are caves cut inside the hill. Two Italian friends Marcello and Frederico gave us a spare room for several days.
These days in Granada were unforgettable. We walked small streets of Albaicin, ate grapes from the trees on the terrase of Kiki's bar, drank cheap rom and coke in another Sacromonte bar Dos Cojones ( :)) together with gypsies playing guitars, walked in Alhambra at 7 in the morning with no tourists arount. yet. Went to an opening of another bar - Potemkin. Watched the performance of flamenco, got lost in a ravine after the sunset and intruded into someone's house. These days when i look at the pictures, i think i miss this city most.
