Day off and no children...

This was his happy face... this a bad sign considering I'm supposed to entertain two lots of 30 kids for the next 6 weeks?

We had a day off, so I spent the day thinking about what I might actually do with the kids. We'd all brough stuff from home - family photos, information about our hometowns and I had books of Scottish poetry, such as Burns, so I reckoned I'd let the days almost guide me as to what we'd do, although we did have a textbook, which also sort of set out what we did each day.

I also used the day to catch up on some room, in fact the entire apartment, wasn't airconditioned, so my first few nights had been pretty uncomfortable, especially as the mosquito screen on my window was ripped so the mozzies were making a meal out of my left leg. Not my right for some reason, just the left!

I also cycled to the school and back so I could make sure I knew the way...the other days I've gone in a pick-up truck and on the back of moped. My homestay mum asked if I'd like to ride the moped...when I said I didn't know how and also didn't have a chinese license she just laughed...odd. I'll stick to the bike.

In the evening, my homestay Mum took me and He-He to Mohe Park in Jimo...we wandered around for a bit, and she treated me to a can of mango juice.
