The only beach like it on the island, the sand is all imported from the Sahara in Africa.

First off, let me explain, there would have been TONS to do here, shopping and crap but Tenerife is Catholic and sadly today was Sunday. So, everything was closed. Meh. We went to the first taxi we saw and asked if we could go to the pyramids and he said 'No!' so, trying not to cry cause it wasn't a good start to the day we started to walk around, and it's hot here and sunny. So, Jimmy says 'Let's at least ask a taxi to take us around the city for a bit' so we gave it a 2nd go and this time the taxi driver, who knew no English, brought out a map with tour plans. So, we took a drive around the island. We went to a beach where the sand is imported from the Sahara in Africa, sure why not? Then went up to an out look where we could see the city and the beach.

Part of the forest at the top of the mountains, it's damp up there so there's an eerie moss growing on everything and as you walk around the mist and dew dropps down on you. It was amazing and very beautiful.
Great view! And saw big lizards, the likes of which suggests big snakes around as well... and big bugs for them to eat... eww! We went up the mountain from the look out, which took us around half an hour on, once again, scary roads, and ear popping goodness. Meh. Jim felt car sick, poor thing. And I felt anxiety as I look down at the so caller barriers which were most often cement blocks spaced out that were maybe half a foot high? And the drop over the side? Let's not talk about it. But, it was so worth it. We ended up with a missing view, which was cool. Basically at the top there is nothing but mist cause you're in the clouds. It's frigid and the wind is so forceful that we were being pushed quite hard and went back to the car as soon as we could. We went down a bit where we were level with the treetops and saw a forest on the mountain. Then down a bit more where we could see the sea again and the cities below. Then we went further down and went through a cute little city with a bunch of churches which we went into of course. Saw a lot of flowers and churches. It was pretty cool. When we got back to Tenerife we went to a big park and walked around then were taken to an over look so we could get a last shot of the city before we went back to the boat. It was a good time. The day ended up being great.
