Weekend Trip back to the good ol Golden State. I don't know why I'm creating a travelogue for this, since I do it every month, but here goes...

Karaoke time

Ryan and a bunch of ladies. AS USUAL
... then, it was off to Karaoke in Richmond!  As most Cal students know, the closest 99 Ranch is located conveniently off of Highway 80 in Richmond/ El Cerrito.  This asian shopping plaza has great restaurants and bookstores, but this time we were there with one sole purpose... to karaoke our Chinese asses off.

I always have a good time karaoking, and this night was no exception.  We had a small EAP reunion of sorts, with Bruce, Sabrina, Jen (wu gui), Tin, Ryan and myself showin up for the fun, along with some guests.  Along the way, we did some oldies but goodies by '杰伦, 王力宏 and 张学友, but I also busted out some crazy new shiet by 元微觉'。  Oh yea, if anyone can push the karaoking envelope to new heights, it'd be me...

I must say, however, that Ryan takes the cake for rapping Leehom's "Can You Feel my World" in Chinese.  Props man.  If I could give eprops on travbuddy, I would...

Unfortunately, I forget the name of this Karaoke store, but it's the only one in the plaza, so it can't be hard to find.  I have mixed feelings about this place.  On one hand, it has a pretty good asian/american song list.  Chinese, Korean, and Japanese songs are all represented fairly well.  On the other hand, it's kind of expensive for a karaoke place, and has this shady rule where every person in a room must order at least 1 drink.  It's a stupid ploy to make more money off of their patrons.
