Eugene, OR

Hoping to get to Eugene in the daylight. It will be nice to finally be here... today is also the day we get into our apartment and I assume the day we'll meet the movers here if all goes well. Actually, we're really hoping to get into Eugene a day or two before today... we have to find somewhere to trim the schedule, which is the main motivation to go north through the Rockies and not stop at the Grand Canyon. If we beat the movers by a couple of days we can chill out in a hotel or at the company condo north of Newport, on the coast.

Anyway, the entire move will have taken almost a year from the original decision to do it, and we're tired of constantly being "the family that's moving". It took a while to get our house ready for market and, once on the market, it took six months to get an offer, since over another month to close, then two weeks to actually move. Ready to be done. DONE!
