End of day 2wo

Medford Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

A full two weeks to see as much scenery as we can, including gardens, waterfalls, mountains, waterfalls, canyons, waterfalls, flowers, waterfalls, this time in more of the great northwestern part of the U.S. Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, back to Idaho, Nevada and home.

End of day 2wo

We ended the day in Medford, Oregon.  Dinner at Hometown Buffet, which was only about a half mile from our motel.  Then time to write some blog and upload a few pictures.  Hopefully we will be able to do it again everyday.

And tonight’s room is way at the back and the street in front is not a busy one, so it will be much quieter.

Waterfalls = 2, bridges = 2, tunnels = 2

This is the largest facility I have seen in the many locations Hometown Buffet has. This location offers the same large numbers of items to choose from in all areas, whether it be the carvery or other meats and main course items, vegetable, side dishes, salads, and desserts, and all are kept fresh and clean. The food is tasty and well prepared. Staff does a good job of keeping empty plates cleaned away and the restaurant is continually cleaned. We find this a good place to dine when we aren’t sure of a specific item we want. We can always get a good meal here.
The Best Western Motel in Medford is quite large at 122 rooms, spread out in a large U-shape, two story facility. The rooms are clean and good sized and include all of the normal amenities such as coffee/tea makers, data ports, iron/board, air conditioning, etc. They offer an expanded continental breakfast, but because the breakfast room is small, it is best if you take your breakfast to your room to eat. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable enough to answers questions about the area and what was close by. The road in front was under repair at the time we were there but it only made exiting a slight inconvenience. The facility was fairly close to the freeway which meant easy to find. I would stay here again.
