For the past couple months our group of 8 friends has been planning to take a trip together to Jeju Island, known to some as the "Hawaii of Korea." It's a tropical, volcanic island about 4 hours by boat from the southern tip of the Korean peninsula. This trip was our last chance to hang out as a group before two of hour friends headed back home to Canada.
Here our some of our trip highlights:
Staying at the Bora Bora seaside resort listening to the crashing waves and breathing in the fresh ocean breeze.
Walking 3 miles to town for a delicous galbi dinner.
Testing our luck at the casino in the Ramada hotel in Jeju City.
Having some delicious Indian food at a really cute restaurant (which I later turned out to be allergic to but it was delicious just the same).
Having an awesome dinner at a Mexican restaurant.
Visiting a volcanic crater, exploring a sex museum/theme park that makes me blush just thinking about it, visiting a chocolate museum/chocolate factory/random collection of junk all in one buildling, walking through a massive lavatube, getting lost in a hedge maze, driving down the "mysterious road" and frolicking/shelling on the beach.
Driving an hour to find the only cinnabon known to exist in korea (at least as far as we know) only to find building completely empty and cinnabon-less. (But at least it was right by the beach!)
Eating our delicious final dinner at an Aussie restaurant.
Getting incredibly lost and literally driving through fields in the dark of night as we tried to find our resort.
Getting up at 4am to race across the island to Sunrise peak- we didn't make it to the top of the peak but the view was beautiful from the bottom :)
Playing Cattan for 4 hours on the ferry boat home
Arriving to work only 5 minutes late on Tuesday morning!
It was an awesome trip and a great way to spend our last weekend with some of the best friends we've ever had.
