Week 27: Celebrating with our friends

Ever since returning from Hawaii on the 9th we've been trying to get back into the swing of things. Initally we had to fight jetlag and then we had to conquer the impulse to hop back on a plane bound for Hawaii. All of the snow had melted in Gwangju by the time we returned so we had nothing to look forward to but the bitter and bleak winter weather. On the upside, our little vacation had recharged my batteries and I was really looking forward to seeing my students again. It was also wonderful to see our friends again.
We all got together for dinner to celebrate the wedding and when we met everyone at Starbucks they surprised us with wedding gifts- two awesome moon chairs! They knew we didn't have much in the furniture department so they knew we'd really appreciate their gifts (and we do!) We now feel fit to entertain because we have a grand total of 4 chairs in our apartment :)
For dinner we went to Min Sok Chun, an excellent samgyupsal/galbi restaurant.
After dinner we went to Biz, a dog cafe where you can sip covered beverages while you play with cuddly (mostly housebroken) dogs and cats. All went smoothly despite the occasional "accident" until the tiny toy poodle Bobby was holding woke up from its nap and puked inside Bobby's coat. I'm glad he took so well because I couldn't stop giggling :) Poor dog. Poor Bobby.
