ONE LOOOOOONG DAY FROM NV TO AZ TO NV

TOO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT. WE DROVE TO THE SOUTH RIM OF GRAND CANYON INSTEAD TO THE WEST RIM. WE WASTED 4HRS FOR DRIVING. THE GOOGLE MAP DIRECTIONS TOOK US TO THE SOUTH RIM. WE WANTED TO GO TO THE SKYWALK WHICH IS IN THE WEST RIM. I FELT AS IF WE WERE DRIVING TO FAR. SINCE I HAVE NEVER DRIVEN TO THE WEST RIM BEFORE. WE DROVE BACK TO VEGAS. OUR PLAN B IS LAKE LAS VEGAS. WHEN WE GOT TO HOOVER DAM IT WAS TRAFFIC. THE 2 MILES TURNED INTO AN HOUR DRIVE. I AM TIRED........

AN OASIS IN OUTSIDE LAS VEGAS
I have been here numerous of times. this is where celine dion lives, well, behind the heavily guarded gate. it is long drive however worth it. during the hot summers there are night concerts and in the winter there is an ice skating rink near the lake. you can rent paddle boats or have a romantic gondala boat ride on the lake.
i have been to the hawaiian festivals, wine tasting and food festivals here.
the architecture of the resort area reminds me of italy. the suites of the ritz carton models the ponto vecchio in italy.
there are shopping as well. many restaurants to choose from. you can also bring a picnic basket and hang out on the grassy areas.
if you are a golf player, they are a few courses to choose from. it's not only a hotel resort. there is a community as well. there are $500,000 and up homes and condos in the resort. many people don't know about this. i enjoy bringing people here. it gives me an excuse to order my favorite shack there, fried portabello mushrooms.
