L&L HAWAIIAN BBQ

Las Vegas Travel Blog › entry 6 of 75 › view trip summary

I moved here back in 2006. there are other things to do besides gambling, shows, clubbing, and strip clubs. i want share as a local. *ALWAYS UNDER CONSTRUCTION*
the first time i was here it was back in 2002. i was still living in cali. i have family in vegas. as i was reading the menu. there is a plate called "atkins plate" it was all the meat and eggs in any style for $6.99 i think. after that i was hooked. :)

L&L serves the typical Hawaiian plate lunch. I love L&L because I am addicted to Chicken Katsu and Loco-Moco. It's ain't no diet food.

It is by no means "Hawaiian" as in luau food (with the exception of kalua pork) - Hawaiian food is fresh fish, lomi salmon, poke, poi, taro, luau leaves, lau lau, and kalua pork. Hawaiian "local" food is exactly what L&L serves - it's a mix of Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Hawaiian cuisines wtih an emphasis on meat entrees - a lot of which is fried. And SPAM is a staple in the Hawai'i local diet.

But L&L is the Hawai'i equivalent to something like KFC - it's fast, pretty cheap, and fills you up! People in Hawai'i don't obsess about calories.
A hearty mix of tasty L&L Hawaii
