VOTED BEST IN VEGAS 2007 FOR "Best Middle Eastern Restaurant" in the las vegas review journal.
jmaxiv (paca) and i were IMing today. we were talking about the middle east. then we started on talking about the diffrent foods we liked. then it made me think of khoury's. this resturant is near my house. it's about 5mins away. i wanted to eat there for lunch. i have not eaten there in months. it serves Lebanese food. they bake there own pita bread from scratch. half of the menu is vegetarian. they serve cold mezza, hot mezza and mezza from the oven which means different side dishes or appetizers. the main courses are shish kabobs: rib eye, shrimp, lamb, chicken, veggie, or combo. kafta kabob, shawarma plate, farooj(baked chicken), red snapper, and many others.
i always order baba ghanouj(eggplant dip), haloum ftayir(goat cheese and parsley) hot mezza, kafta kabob(ground sirloin mixed with onions, parsley, and spices grilled over a bed on rice). HMMMMMM YUMMY :)
the restaurant is small and quaint. while i was waiting for my food. i can smell the pita baking. the service is good. the owners are always there. they greet you when you enter. i love middle eastern food and the middle eastern countries. i was so hungry i forgot to take pictures :D
