The first time i ate here was back in 2004. i ordered the Pan-Seared Ahi
Served with sautéed bok choy, steamed white rice and a sweet-chili sauce.
My mum, my neighbor and i wanted to go out for dinner. i suggested this place. i am not a big fan of asian fusion restaurant. however, kona grill was expectional.
kona grill are located in NV, AZ, CO, TX, NE, KS, IL, IN, MI, CT, LA, FL, VA & MN, about 10 locations in the USA.
i was in mood for fish. i ordered the Lemon Grass Crusted Halibut Served with white cheddar mashed potatoes, sautéed baby bok choy and a coconut-curry sauce. MY STOMACH HATES CURRY, BUT I WANTED TO TRY IT WITH THE COCONUT. THE HALIBUT WAS MOIST, THE CRUST WAS THIN. IT WAS PERFECT BALANCE OF FLAVORS.
my mum ordered the Double Cut Pork Chop 22oz chop served with hoisin sauce, white cheddar mashed potatoes and wok tossed vegetables. SHE SAID IT WAS WELL PREPARED. SHE LIKES IT MEDIUM WELL.
my neighbor ordered the Pork Tenderloin Almond crusted tenderloin, served with white cheddar mashed potatoes, sautéed baby bok choy and a red pepper-shiitake mushroom sauce. HE HAD THE RED PEPPER-SHITAKE MUSHROOM SAUCE ON THE SIDE. HE SAID IT WAS TENDER AND FULL OF FLAVOR
we shared a passion fruit creme brulee. they was not so sweet. you can taste a hint of passion fruit.
when you enter the sports bar is on the left. the sushi bar is on the right. it has a dark ambience. i would recommend it. :)
