CHICAGO 40TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT AT MGM HOTEL
October 20, 2007
This was a bad ass concert. this is one of my mum's favorite bands. unfortunately, peter cetera was not there. some of my favorite songs are what peter sang. we had great seats. we were right on the side. my mum stood up the whole time dancing. she had a good time.

This is one of my favorite places to eat reuben sandwich. however, that morning i had a farmer's omelette with no tomatoes and a side of extra crispy hash browns. my mum ordered a reuben sandwich. they serve generous portions.
however, the ambience is dark and quiet. i would not recommend hanging out here on st. paddy day.
Irish-themed brew pub with an impressive restaurant featuring Irish/American food. Authentic Irish interiors add to the ambiance. Menu includes breakfast (Eggs Benedict and Corned Beef) to lunch and dinner (Fish & Chips, Corned Beef and Cabbage and Irish Stew) with choices abounding from soups, salads and sandwiches to an impressive selection of Irish and American brew.

This was an amazing steakhouse. if you are a big fan of top chef on the bravo channel. tom colicchio is the head judge of the show. he owns craft LA, craft NYC, and 'wichcraft.
we started off with roasted foie gras with fig and almond relish, lobster bisque and Jerusalem Artichokes
OMG the foie gras was orgasmic LOL. it was well roasted. it was firm enough to cut perfectly.
the artichokes was cooked in olive oil. it was a lovely combo with our entre
the lobster bisque was smooth and creamy. it was well done.
i ordered the pork chop with a citrus reduction. it was 2 inch thick. the citrus reduction was well prepared. the flavor was perfect, not overpowering. i had it medium rare.
we shared a dessert. we ordered Liquid Chocolate Cake served with
Persian Mint Chip Ice Cream.
my mum ordered a 16oz. rib eye medium well.
the dishes are served in a stainless steel plate that has cooked on. you also have on own plate. they want you to share.
our waiter, joe is awesome. he was very intentive. he was friendly and very helpful with our questions.
the ambience is elegent, booths seats, chair or couch seats. there is also a bar. it looks small when you enter, it is shaped like a "L".
expect to drop about $200 per person if you are gonna spoil yourself with a kobe beef steak.
our bill for 2 without wine came about $170, which is not bad for what we ate. the foie gras was worth the price alone :)
