En route to the beach!

I arose at 6:50 am to a clear, bright day.  I went to the porch to see if the boa constrictor was still there but it had already moved on, leaving a very empty bird nest behind it.
Around 9 am those in the wedding party had a short rehearsal.  The groom asked me to be an usher at the last minute, so I attended as well.  I always seem to get drafted into usher duty at weddings; I can’t remember the last time I was just a plain old wedding guest.

Today Kalloo's Transportation took us down to Blanchiseusse Beach, where the Marianne River flows into the Atlantic.  We spent a few hours there, and on the way back we stopped by Richard’s Bake and Shark on Maracas Beach, Trinidad’s most popular bake and shark place.  We finally returned home an hour after dinner began but the folks at Asa Wright saved some for us.  Afterwards I came across a group watching a nature movie in the sitting room so I joined them.  Then we hung out on the porch and talked until late into the night.
