On our last day of sightseeing in New York, we headed over to the Late Show with David Letterman to see if we could get tickets inside. My brother had failed to acquire tickets before we left, but that's another story all together. We got put on the waiting list, but we didn't get tickets. We took a look at the Hello Deli and ran into some of the folks from the show that perform skits and the like, so we got to talk with them for a while. Too bad Dave himself wasn't around! From there we decided to walk down Broadway and back to Trump Tower to see what is was like inside. Take a look at the pic, obviously it's a very nice place! My brother found a Yankee store and also found the jersey he was looking for, so I think that made the trip for him.
We ended up back down near Battery Park and wandered over to the area around Ground Zero. We ended up spending some time at some of the sites we sped through yesterday...we wanted to take a tour of the federal reserve but you have to call in advance for that. So, it was a relatively laid back day with not much to do. It ended with a solo walk through Central Park. We could sleep in a bit before heading to the airport in the morning.
