Arrival

Split Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

This is finally complete, although the details I'd hoped to put in didn't quite get there. I couldn't find them! Which is a shame. It took a loooong time to compile though! 2 months backpacking around South-Eastern Europe - Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia, Bulgaria and Turkey.

Arrival

We flew from Luton to Split, and were obviously fairly excited. We'd pre-booked our first night's accommodation so we didn't have anything to worry about. When we got there, it turned out to be n entire apartment, and, although cheap, was about 7 times the price of something else we could find! So off we went, into the Old Town to find a new room! Which we did, for  a LOT less, and it was literally in the centre, much better!

I remember the first thing we were shocked about was the price of things. We bought a sandwich for our dinner (they were to become our saple diet until we decided we couldn't afford even that!) and it cost us 8kuna (about 0.12€!)

We just sort of wwandered around, planned where to go next etc etc.
