This is the beach of the hostel where I was staying at. Extremely beautiful place and I definetly recommend Croatia for anyone who wants some cheap R&R.
Croatia is amazing, period. If you ever want a place to chill out on the beach and drink wine that costs $3 this the place. The actual spot I stayed at was a bit outside of the town and it had a very original name "Youth Hostel". Located right on the beach in a little harbor that you can see in the picture this spot is almost perfect. The only problem is that there are many locals on the beach and not the good looking kind. Mostly families and many grandmas with their grandkids. Kinda kills the mood but they usually leave around 5 so then you have the whole beach to yourself. The place has its own bar/food place. If you consider trying one of their "sandwiches", DONT! One look at the cooking lady should be warning enough, she looks like she hasn't washed any part of her body in years, seriously its sick. The good part is that you can grab a bottle of wine in the evening sit down on the beach and watch the sunset, that is amazing. Also if you are staying at this hostel and want food, go to reception and ask them to order you a pizza, its cheap and its actually goes really well with that bottle of wine. The problem is the nightlife here is pretty sad. You can go into town which has a lot of people at night but its mostly people going out to get food and maybe a few people going for a beer or two. If you want a crazy nightlife, go to Pag, Split or Dubrovnik(sp?).
