Amsterdam´s Saturday Fever
I flew with KLM, it has a better time table than Transavia, and avoid to fly Iberia (The T4 terminal -One World- at Madrid Airport is a nightmare, when you arrive there wait for the baggage takes a lot of time.
It is hard to fin a detail map for Zuid Holland, the best are from ANWB or VVV (Hard to find out the Netherlands). Also is really hard to find a good "value for money" room in Amsterdam during a summer weekend. I checked weather.com, ooops! rain predicted, and when I arrived Schipol airport, there was no sun at all. After take the train from the airport (It is downstairs in the main airport hall), we arrived Amsterdam Centraal, and the hotel was right there (Bellevue Hotel, Martelaarsgracht 10). It is a quite basic hotel, no luxuries but correct and very clean. If you consider to rest, you have to choose views (Noisy) or quiteness (With no views).
It was my fifth time in Amsterdam, this trip I walked again the Kalverstraat/Nieuwendijk commercial zone, Red Light District. To eat I like Van Dobben (Korte Reguliersdwarsstraat 5-9), the kroket is the typical Holland fast food. After taking some shots and drinks in different bars, from a typical Proeflokaal to a mexican cantin, we arrived at the hotel, time to sleep.
