Jac and I headed to Greece via Dubai. Spend most of time on islands: Santorini, Ios, Mykinos. Met great travellers and locals.

Walking Athens

The ancient theatre
Okay, so I am writing this as a back dated entry.... which really just tells you that I wont remember everything.  Athens was great and we definitely got our walk on.  Visited all the regular ruins and some a bit out of the way.  Pottered around some markets and, as usual, bought things that were great on holiday, but barely usable in the real world (ah, the joy of hindsite).  Anyway it was all about getting atrain then a ferry to the islands and plotting a way that meant maximum fun time and minimum wasting the day sitting in the middle of the sea - not that we don't like the ocean, but that ain't why we were visiting Greece.  Anyway did an overnighter to Santorini which meant sleeping on the floor on the ferry - which wasn't as bad as I had thought it might be... all about seat placement.
